They had me at “gimme-my-coin-dead-wife”-flicks-him-into-wall. They’re both such assholes and so fascinating, even if they start to mellow toward each other a bit, and all the gods/magic/resurrection stuff swirling around them begs to be explored further. Also I LOVE how their dynamic is about equal parts spikiness, pathos, and humor, she’s half his size yet can and does beat him up with literally one finger, and then there’s the angst of he having killed her, feeling really guilty about it, and bringing her back, plus the S2 ending of course. You can find A LOT more prompts for the pairing here. Possible time-travel starting points: the lucky coin enables time travel (maybe without the owner's conscious control), or time gets weird due to a resurrection spell, or their whole canon meeting and/or developing dynamic happens thanks to timey-wimeyness, or time gets weird when one tries to save the other/they try to save each other. BTW, even if a tag says one character does something, it's fine to have the tag apply to both requested characters. Here's an idea: GERTI is (also) a time machine, or suddenly becomes a time machine, which means time-travel hijinks and/or being chartered to take people through time/save those who time-travel without the proper precautions. Or, well, it's all the fault of the goose Martin bought in Uskerty. Douglas runs his schemes, Martin is a stickler for the rules, Arthur is way too enthusiastic, and Carolyn tries to balance being the boss with her mischievous streak. I just want more canon-y stories with their loopy humor and their crew dynamics. Shenanigans in mid-flight. Someone smuggles (knowingly or not) an exotic animal or anachronistic artifact on-board, chaos ensues. A mechanical, passenger- or smuggled-goods-caused problem arises and is solved during a journey. More games played on board GERTI. Shooting the breeze in the lull while waiting for a customer, or a flight delay, or waiting around for someone else to solve a problem - maybe they swap stories about timey wimey experiences on past jobs! I fell so hard for this show. The production values, the cast, how the characters develop, how the show unfolds one reveal after another and packs so much into two short seasons, all the period detail, the genuinely tense action scenes, the moments of humor and intense emotion, the intertwining of political intrigue and zomg! really scary zombies, how the zombie outbreak works on multiple levels both literal and metaphorical… More prompts here - these mostly focus on Chang and Seo-bi, but really, I love the others too so much! In terms of time travel prompts, maybe something that riffs on how the zombie plague started (or trying to prevent it, with or without success), someone coming back from the future to help in the canon timeline, a canon-adjacent time loop, something set in the time skip or a timey-wimey take on future canon... BTW, even if a tag says one character does something, it's fine to have the tag apply to all or multiple requested characters.
